Development of Information and Communication Technology

The first telephone made by Alexander Graham Bell. The first communication by telephone was made by Alexander Graham Bell when he accidentally spilled acid and asked for the help of his assistant, Thomas A, Watson. The first sentence he said was "Mr. Watson, Comte era, I Wat Lou! "

The development of science and technology revealed its progress around the 19th century when scientists managed to find various important discoveries. For example discoveries in the health sector that enable human health to be better.

In addition, various technologies developed have changed the human condition in various aspects. This development is still ongoing and has changed the way of human life throughout the world. But the most amazing thing in the discovery is the development in the field of information and communication technology.
The rapid development in the field of information and communication technology has made this century an Information Age. There are also those who argue that advances in information and communication technology are often called the Communication Revolution (Communication Revolution). Now, thanks to advances in information and communication technology, all the various events that occur in other parts of the world can be known quickly. The world of commerce has made significant progress as the emergence of e-commerce.

Information and communication technology began to develop. Around the 15th century when the printing press was discovered. It can be said that with the discovery of printing machines there is a change in the human process of communicating. But the rapid development in the field of information and communication occurred when the use of electricity began. Many new discoveries that use electricity to run it. One of them is the telegraph found by Samuel FB. Morse in 1837.

Development in the field of information and communication was the discovery of a telephone by Alexander Graham Bell in 1876. After that, various other discoveries emerged, including the discovery of the film by Thomas Edison in 1877 and the discovery of radio by Guglielmo Marconi in 1896. Also developments in television and satellite communication signifies rapid progress in the field of information and communication technology.

However, another important discovery in the field of information and communication technology was the discovery of computers. Computers are the biggest invention in the 20th century. Developments in the computer field grew rapidly when the invention of the transistor in 1947 by John Bardeen and the invention of the microprocessor in 1971. Computers have changed various aspects of human life. Computers are widely used in various fields to control from the simplest devices such as telephones to the most complex machines such as airplanes. Likewise, the use of computer-controlled robots is increasing rapidly. These robots do work that is felt too dangerous if used by humans. The progress and capability of computer technology continues to increase every day.

Seeing the enormous benefits of scientists from various universities in the United States also developing computer networks similar to ARPnet, namely NSFnet (NSF = Nation Science Foundation). This NSFnet turns out to be better and cheaper so it continues to be developed so that it can be used by the general public. What we now know about the internet is formed. In 1993, internet technology began to be introduced to the general public. Now, everyone if they have a computer, modem and internet software can access various information through the internet.
